How does ScheduleGenie work?

• ScheduleGenie constantly checks seat availability for the classes you are trying to get into.  If the program finds an open spot, it will automatically put you into that class- you don't have to do anything!  For detailed instructions, please see the help file. 

Does ScheduleGenie work on my Mac operating system?

• Unfortunately at this time, Schedule Genie is not Mac compatible.

Do I have to be in front of my computer for ScheduleGenie to work?

• No! that's the best part of using ScheduleGenie.  All you have to do is tell the program what classes you want once, and let the program run until it gets those classes for you!

Does ScheduleGenie register you for more than one class at a time?

• Yes! ScheduleGenie can register you for as many classes that fit into your credit hour limit.  You just have to request all the classes you want once, make sure the boxes next to each class (on the members tab) are checked and then let the program run.  Go to the drop/add tab and watch for a new entry to be made each minute to ensure the program is running.

My login information is wrong, how do I change it?

• That's simple, all you have to do is send us an email telling us what you want changed.  Send it to support@schedulegenie.com

Does ScheduleGenie work for summer semester?

• It sure does- just select the summer session you want to register from the dropdown menus, pick your classes and let The Genie get them for you.

How many semesters can I use the program?

• You get to use ScheduleGenie for an entire semester for one low price! You can change your schedule as many times as you want in order to make it just right.  To use ScheduleGenie again, simply pay and your program will be reactivated!

Does drop/add have to be open?

• Yes- if drop/add is closed, or your school's server is down the program will not be able to register.  Drop/add closes nightly, but in the morning, ScheduleGenie will pick up where it left off, working to get you the classes you need!

Do I have to leave the program running in order for it to work?

• Yes, ScheduleGenie is a program that runs on your computer.  As with any other program, it will only work when it is running.  If you turn your computer off, log off, or close the program, ScheduleGenie won't be able to look for openings until you open the program again. 

What schools are compatible with the program?

• Currently, ScheduleGenie is only compatible with Arizona State University.  We are working diligently to make ScheduleGenie available at your school; If you would like to help bring ScheduleGenie to your school, contact us at advertise@schedulegenie.com.

Is it safe to input my ID and password into the program?

• Yes! Your privacy is our number one concern.  In fact, we never see your password- you only input it into the login screen of ScheduleGenie which is running directly from your computer, no one else can see it. 

How can I bring ScheduleGenie to my school?

• Its easy! simply send us an email at advertise@schedulegenie.com and tell us!

The classes I'm already registered for don't show up in the "my courses" window.  What's wrong?

• You either logged in incorrectly- log out and try again with your correct username and password, or Drop/Add is currently closed or the University's registration system is down.  Also, make sure you have the correct semester selected from the drop down menu.

How do I start the download?

• In order to download ScheduleGenie, you must have completed the payment process and then clicked on the download link that is found on the page you are redirected to from paypal.  If you did not see this link, please email us at support@schedulegenie.com and we will send you the download.

The program stopped checking for a class that I want to get into but I have not been registered for it yet.  What's going on?

• For the program to work, the boxes next to the classes in the "to be registered list" have to be checked.  It is a good idea to ensure they are checked each time you check on ScheduleGenie's progress.
